Cong. Bataoil inaugurates PTI gym

             Honorable Leopoldo N. Bataoil, Congressman of the 2nd District of Pangasinan was the guest speaker during the inauguration and turn over ceremony of PTI gymnasium last April 1, 2015.

             The affair started with a Mass officiated by Rev. Fr. Jose Laforteza Jr., Parish Priest of Binmaley; followed by ribbon cutting and blessing of the gym and the newly renovated administration building.

              A program was held for the Turn Over ceremony from the Honorable Congressman to the School’s Vocational Administrator, Engr. Jovencio M.Ferrer Jr.

              In his message, Cong. Bataoil told the faculty, staff and students of PTI that he was thankful to all specially those from 2nd District of Pangasinan for supporting him for his quest for congressional seat. He was unopposed for his third term candidacy as representative

                         Three PTI Employee Awarded During Educators’ Night

               One of the highlights during the 426th Binmaley Founding Anniversary Celebration was the Educators’ night held January 29, 2016. The Theme of this year’s Town Fiesta “ Walad  Ombaloy so ibulaslas na Binmaley…Bloom, Binmaley.”   

                                                              

                Administrators, teachers and personnels of different schools within the municipality were honored for their distinguished accomplishment in their respective institutions.

                Pangasinan Technological Institute awardees were: Engr. Jovencio M. Ferrer Jr., Vocational School Administrator for outstanding Administrator; Mam Rowena R. Aquino, Asst. Professor III for outstanding Teacher; and Mam Iluminada T. Soriano, Accountant I for outstanding Personnel. They were chosen for their accomplishments under the Instruction and Administration departments respectively.

               Guest of honor and speaker during the Educators’ night was Francisco T. Duque III, MD, MSC; Chairman-Institute for Solidarity in Asia. Messages were given by dignitaries invited during the night such as the School Superintendent of Pangasinan I division, DepEd; Vice Mayor and Hon. Mayor Simplicio L. Rosario. In his message, the Mayor stressed that Educators are the best disseminators of our rich cultural heritage and honorable practices to younger generation, in order for them to fully appreciate the legacy of our noble forebears.

                It was the first time that the Municipality of Binmaley held its Educators’ night intended specially for all educators which is a rare opportunity to strengthen its bond for the betterment of the town.

               The last part was the presentation numbers of DepEd Dist. 1, Dist. 2, Secondary Public schools, Secondary Private School, TESDA-PTI and PSU.

         PTI holds Symposium on Drug Prevention & Control

                  Last July 14,2016 , Pangasinan Technological Institute held a Symposium on Dangerous Drugs Prevention and Control program participated by trainers and trainees from different qualifications at the PTI gymnasium.

​

                 Engr. Jovencio M. Ferrer Jr. in his message, he stressed that PTI is a drug free institution; there was no report so far on drug users in the school.

 

                 Mrs. Helen Aqui, Gender and Development Focal was tasked to lecture on Gender and Development and how to prevent and eradicate illegal drugs and how it is controlled, which is one of the programs of the national government under the new administration of President Rodrigo R. Duterte.

​

                 A multimedia presentation was used in order the trainees, who are mostly adolescents can really understand the pros and cons of using illegal drugs. After the presentation and discussion there was an open forum where the trainees actively participated.

​

                Intermission numbers were presented by selected PSSC officers and HRS II trainees. The symposium ended with an hour of zumba.
